Shop Local Farms

After reading Drew Ramsey's book (see the title below) it made me want to support local farmers & really connect with my hometown local roots.

We started a Saturday morning tradition where we shop at a local farm stand as a family. It makes me so happy! I thinks it’s important our children know where real food comes from & how it’s grown. I want to teach them that real food can make our bodies feel good! That if we nourish & take care of our body, our body will take care of us.

Get to know your local farmers & shop local farms! We need to keep these farms around! It really is up to us to support them. The food in this world (especially America) is getting faker & faker by the day. Our bodies were not meant to eat this way! Our bodies are not designed to thrive off of fake food. How can we expect to have energy, feel good, & thrive when we’re constantly eating fake food on the go-go-go?

So slow down, eat REAL food, & check out your local farmer’s markets, a local small family-owned farm, or see if your community has a community garden! Make connections, dig into your town or city’s roots, & shop from local farms! Even cities usually have farm stand’s and farmer’s markets (they’re on Saturdays a lot of the times).

Book I was referring to:

Eat to Beat Depression and Anxiety: Nourish Your Way to Better Mental Health in Six Weeks by Drew Ramsey.
