Savannah's Simple Fluffy Homemade Bread

Simple, fluffy, and soft homemade bread

I've played with bread recipes my whole life, but I finally perfected it how I like it! Make sure that your yeast rises in the bowl like this, or your bread won't rise:

You know the dough has enough flour when it is slightly sticky, soft, and when it is starting to pull away from the sides of the Bosch like this:

After you are done kneading the dough, make sure you take the hook out, cover it, and let it rise in the bowl for an hour or until it looks like this:

Savannah's Simple Fluffy Homemade Bread:

Ingredients

  • 5 cups of very warm water (too hot will kill the yeast, the water should feel as if you are giving a baby a bath)

  • 2 tablespoons of yeast

  • 2/3 cups vegetable oil

  • 3 teaspoons of salt

  • 2 cup of sugar or 1 1/2 cups honey

  • 12 cups all purpose flour, or wheat flour

Directions

1. Add the warm water & the yeast in a Bosch. Let the yeast sit in the water for 2-3 minutes to make sure that it is rising/expanding.

2. Add the oil, sugar or honey, salt, and mix.

3. Now it’s time for the 12 cups of flour. Add 3 cups at a time; mixing every 3 cups. When you get to 11 cups, add the last cup SLOWLY. The dough has enough flour when it is slightly sticky, soft, and when it is starting to pull away from the sides of the Bosch. Sometimes it takes more or less than 12 cups total.

4. After the dough looks good, turn Bosch on low and knead for 8 minutes.

5. Take the dough hook out, cover with the lid, and let the dough rise in the Bosch for 50 minutes - 1 hour. The dough should rise all the way up to the lid.

6. When the dough is done rising in the bowl, divide the dough into fourths, and shape the bread dough into 4 loaves. Set them in greased bread pans.

7. Let the loaves rise on the counter covered with a kitchen towel for one hour or almost doubled in size.

8. Bake at 325° for 42-45 min. You know they are done baking when the bottom of the loaf is golden!
